Our Story

SafariShare was founded in 2019 with a simple idea: to make travel easier and more affordable for everyone in Uganda. We started as a carpooling platform, connecting drivers with empty seats to passengers heading in the same direction — sharing rides, saving money, and building a community of travelers.

As our community grew, we saw a bigger opportunity. To truly transform transportation we needed to think beyond the car. Today, SafariShare has evolved into a comprehensive multimodal platform. We partner with bus operators to bring their routes online, giving travelers a one-stop-shop to compare, book, and pay for both carpools and bus tickets.

Every operator on SafariShare goes through a verification process before their routes go live. We confirm operating permits, route details, and contact information so that the schedules and fares you see are accurate and the operator is reachable.

Our Mission

To create a seamless, affordable, and sustainable travel network for everyone. We empower travelers by providing transparent access to a wide range of shared transportation options, making every journey simpler and more efficient.

Our Vision

To be the leading shared mobility platform in Africa, transforming how people move within and between cities. We envision a future where travel is connected, intelligent, and accessible to all — reducing congestion and our collective environmental impact.

Our Values

Community: We are building a network of trust between passengers, drivers, and operators, fostering a safe and reliable travel community.

Innovation: We are constantly innovating to solve real-world transportation challenges, using technology to create a better travel experience.

Accessibility: We believe everyone deserves access to convenient and affordable travel options. Our platform is designed to be inclusive and easy to use for all.

Sustainability: By promoting shared rides, we aim to reduce the number of empty seats on our roads, leading to less traffic, lower fuel consumption, and a healthier planet.
