DEAR BLACK GIRL MOVEMENT

The DBG East African Summit is a strategic convening aimed at shaping the future of the East African woman. It is a room we are intentionally designing to analyse data and lived realities of African women while contributing to our 2026/27 research theme: “The Plight of Women in Africa: A Reality We Can No Longer Ignore.” We are bringing together representatives from the public, private, governmental, non-governmental, academic, grassroots, development and youth leadership sectors to rethink frameworks, develop blueprints, interpret data on women, and design a future where the African woman moves from silence to structural power.
